The voice of reason on vaccines

This is a must-read, whatever your beliefs on the subject. Mark Sumner compares the current pandemic to previous viral assaults on humanity, like polio and mumps. The correct course of action emerges without the need for argument or opinion.

About Dr Bob Rich

I am a professional grandfather. My main motivation is to transform society to create a sustainable world in which my grandchildren and their grandchildren in perpetuity can have a life, and a life worth living. This means reversing environmental idiocy that's now threatening us with extinction, and replacing culture of greed and conflict with one of compassion and cooperation.

  1. Dear Godfather,

There are far too many Covidiotic Maskholes in the Disunited States of America!

In short, such Covidiots are no longer concerned with objective reality and impartial truth, nor reachable with verifiable facts, argumentation and fair reasoning.

It can be very frustrating to deal with Covidiots.

Here is one example, and the blog post is centred around the highly misguided premise and erroneous belief that “Most Vaccinated People Will Die In Few Short Years” constituting gross misinformation or disinformation:

The blogger did not even approve of all of my nearly 20 comments in spite of my patience, edification and good intention. The blogger’s penultimate reply to me is as follows:

LOL! I don’t know if I am totally ignorant or humble to God. I cannot imagine you having a real concern to care for me or any of us, blogging or otherwise. So what real concern would you have about our blogging, acceptance, interpretation or non acceptance of misinformation? Jack! That’s what I thought. I truly apologize if I or any of my colleagues have presented ourselves as overly tolerant but we do it for God. Know this, there is another side to midnight but we prefer to stay blessed and wish you God’s peace and blessings as well. 💗☀️

I replied to the blogger with my following comment, which is not showing up at the blog post as it has not been approved, and the blogger has not owned up to any mistakes and irresponsibility, plus using various tactics to deny and deflect issues:

How dismissive, inane and callous you can be!

If I truly don’t care a hoot about you, I or anybody as you just (pro)claim, would I go to enormous lengths of commenting as I have on your blog and other people’s blogs, of composing posts and pages of value on my blogs and on the websites of some societies and organizations, and so on?

The best and most dedicated amongst the likes of us are also inveterate teachers of everlasting, transcendental wisdom to save humans from themselves, their self-interests and their destructive ways. I often even have to coin new words to do so. The latest examples are my three neologisms “Misquotation Pandemic“, “Disinformation Polemic” and “Viral Falsity“, which you can see in my extensive and analytical post entitled “💬 Misquotation Pandemic and Disinformation Polemic: 🧠 Mind Pollution by Viral Falsity 🦠“, which has so far garnered about 170 comments and 360 likes.

Such Covidiots are no longer concerned with objective reality and impartial truth, nor reachable with verifiable facts, argumentation and fair reasoning.

By the way, I would like to thank you for commenting on my latest post entitled “❄ ❅ ❆ Snowflakes, Tell Me Why You Are…“, which combines poetry, visual art, animations and science in an innovative way. I have since improved the post even more. Please be informed that I have already responded to your comment with a highly bespoke comment and look forward to your reply there.

    Happy September to you!

    Yours sincerely,

Of course they are right. All people will die in a few short years. Very few people reach 100, and that’s the blink of an eyelid.
If their beliefs and actions only harmed themselves, that would be fine. Unfortunately, they harm all of humanity.
But it’s all right. This planet is a school for souls, on the way toward enlightenment. And let me assure you, when we have destroyed the school, there are zillions of other schools in the universe.

      • Dear Godfather,

I would like to inform you that my post entitled “💬 Misquotation Pandemic and Disinformation Polemic: 🧠 Mind Pollution by Viral Falsity 🦠” has been much extended with a great deal more detailed analyses, and even some dramatic animations! Please kindly come over and let me know what you make of those extra contents.

I can also see that you have been quite occupied with preparing and publishing your latest newsletter for September. Needless to say, we both have been diligent.

        Yours sincerely,

I have a ‘friend’ who is a rabid anti-vaxxer and I don’t block them because it’s interesting to know what their story is, and I like to hear all sides of a discussion.

Hi Dr.Bob! I was thinking about you with all the craziness flying around in the news and social media and it made me curious to know your opinions about everything that’s been going on. How are things on the ground in Australia? What’s really happening over there? How are you and the family? I try to stay informed but it’s all feeling pretty confusing and chaotic, and with Afghanistan now too. It makes it challenging to stay in the present with so much fear.

I took a class called ‘design the life you love this summer. Recently the professor contacted me and proposed the possibility of me being a TA for the next class this fall. Both a terrifying and exciting idea but it got me thinking about how I might contribute if given the chance, which made me think of you and your work. The curriculum is focused on self compassion and cultivating gratitude and self awareness, while exploring interests and uncovering dreams. I think such a major step in self acceptance and joy is addressing wrongdoing, shame, greif, self hate, and forgiveness, so that’s what I would want to incorporate into the class content. If there was only time to dedicate one class or homework assignment, what would you think the best to include? Is there a chapter from a specific book or exercise or practice that you think is powerful? Your ideas are invaluable and I’d appreciate any feedback you may have to share. I also plan on sharing your website with the professor, but I’m worried that the specific nature of the topic might be too triggering for them to mention in the course, I don’t know, but still think that it’s powerful work that can be applied to other harmful, shame inducing situations, (not just childhood questionable or traumatizing sexual behaviors).

Would like to pass on the transformative grace if I have the chance!

    Take care of yourself!

Elizabeth, that’s wonderful. Congratulations! Who would have believed such progress a year ago!
This person has given you a terrific compliment. I know you will rise to the challenge.
Yes, I do have relevant chapters in my book, “From Depression to Contentment:”
      On gratitude.
Loving the damaged little child that’s doing the self-bashing.
      Exposure therapy for trauma.

There are also stories and essays relevant to these topics in “Lifting the Gloom.” Please tell the professor I am happy to email a free review copy of either or both.

Thank you for sharing the planet with me,
