Not nuclear

This interview with the editor of the World Nuclear Industry Status Report, Mycle Schneider is well worth reading.

He is dispassionate, relies on facts, and his material is absolutely devastating for anyone who looks to nuclear power to save us from climate change. It is NOT the way to go.

About Dr Bob Rich

I am a professional grandfather. My main motivation is to transform society to create a sustainable world in which my grandchildren and their grandchildren in perpetuity can have a life, and a life worth living. This means reversing environmental idiocy that's now threatening us with extinction, and replacing culture of greed and conflict with one of compassion and cooperation.

Yes, how do you decommission a reactor? Excise it from the earth and ship it to the sun?

Good article, thanks for the link, Bob.

I’ve long thought that a good description of a nuclear power plant is “a deceptive beast that has no anus”.

Pro-nuclear folk need to be constantly reminded that nuclear power has not only never lived up to the promise that it would provide “power too cheap to meter”, the sums only add up when overpaid accountants massage them and ‘externalise’ the toxic waste storage and plant decommissioning costs.
