And fish that have domesticated a shrimp!

I try to avoid two posts on one day, but these two are related. Not only do trees warn each other of aphid attacks, but new research has identified a farmer – domestic animal relationship between a species of fish and a shrimp.

The damselfish protect the shrimps from predators. In exchange, the shrimps poop on the fishs’ algae farms, improving the quality of their crop.

You know, just like human farmers have been doing through the ages?
