Actually, the problems started 10,000 years ago. We are now seeing the top of the exponential that started than. But it’s all right. When the students have burnt down the school for souls that earth is, let me assure you, there are trillions of other schools in the universe.

Thanks for that pointer to that thought-provoking article. We really do need to have a complete mind-shift to get out of the mire… I don’t know how that can be accomplished though, given how much inertia there is built up in the existing economics mindset.

Well, her ideas are not new, but, as her referencing shows, well-established and even tested concepts. I’ve been singing the same song for decades, based on the same evidence.
And the reason it has had no effect was very well stated by Dr. Seuss in “The Lorax:”
Business is business, and business must grow,
Regardless of crummies in tummies, you know.
We all know how that ended up.
