You’re right. Not until we can become a wise and responsible species; one that thinks before it acts and cleans up its messes; one that preserves its current home…

Hi Rhobin. Stephen Hawking was all for space exploration, to preserve a seed of humanity when we have killed ourselves off. On the current record, that sounds more like an infection than a seed. When we can behave well at home, we should be allowed out into the playground. 🙂

We’ve not enough time to invent and develop spacecraft technology to the point where more 10 will fit.

I agree, Don. But even if we could do it by magic, it would still be wrong.

My own thoughts precisely. In the meantime, on a fool’s errand we are burning up more energy for nothing worth having, and adding to pollution while we do it. The so-called space race should be shut down until humanity works out what benefit it could have for us here on Earth.

Thank you, Jen. I especially get incensed at one of the space racers, who was asked why he was sending rockets off earth. The answer? “Gives me something to spend my money on.” Meanwhile, his employees are working in terrible conditions, under great pressure. Some have died because of this. Their pay is miserable.
