A person from India is worried. Please read my answer.

Are we near the apocalypse?

I set out the case, and offer a course of action. My old friends will have heard it all, in various versions, but perhaps a new summary is still worthwhile. And you may see fit to spread the word that yes, we need urgent, effective action.

There is a Buddhist saying: β€œThe best time to plant a tree is 250 years ago. The second best time is NOW.” Action to prevent the 6th extinction event of earth should have been taken in the 1970s. The second best time is NOW.

About Dr Bob Rich

I am a professional grandfather. My main motivation is to transform society to create a sustainable world in which my grandchildren and their grandchildren in perpetuity can have a life, and a life worth living. This means reversing environmental idiocy that's now threatening us with extinction, and replacing culture of greed and conflict with one of compassion and cooperation.

Great advice, Bob. The saying reminds me of the one that says something like, if you’re sitting under the shade of a tree today, it’s because someone planted it many years before.
    Hopefully, everyone takes action now.

      Thank you, Karen.
Here is something funny. A person considering himself to be a skeptic commented on another of my answers on Quora. He thinks that “alarmists” like me need cognitive therapy.
Of course, he is not a skeptic. I am: I don’t believe anything but follow the evidence. He ignores the evidence for being SO inconvenient. If it was true, he might need to change his life! And I didn’t bother to answer, although I could have offered him free cognitive therapy. πŸ™‚
