She is Catherine Puckett, who lives on Block Island, which is the site of the USA’s first offshore wind farm.
Her work reduces carbon dioxide dissolved in seawater, and nitrogen runoff, which is responsible for dead zones. But that’s only a side-effect. She is growing food, and organic fertiliser for farmers that works better than the artificial stuff — and her occupation is her joy.
