One of the inspirations of my life is my daughter, Natalie. (She’ll tell me off for mentioning this.) Today, she drew my attention to a charity she has started to support. In 2007, Tony and Lisa Clark solved a number of terrible problems for people forced to “sleep rough:” they designed a backpack bed. It saves lives.
Please read about the
backpack bed for homeless, and then do what your heart demands of you.
Although the project started in Australia, it has now spread to USA, UK, NZ, Germany, Canada, South Africa and Spain.
Thank you. Naturally, not having homeless people in the first place would be far better. This is one of the many reasons I am currently campaigning for the Greens, about 200% effort. They have a costed, well-thought out policy on reducing homelessness.
