Dope drags you down

Marijuana, like alcohol, is known as a central nervous depressant, but a new, large scale study shows it’s worse than that: smoke dope in your teenage years, and you risk depression in adulthood.

My personal attitude has always been that any psychoactive substance is bad for you, chocolate excepted. That is after all my favourite vegetable. (I am a dry chocaholic: I don’t buy it, but gladly accept it as presents. Then I use it for medicinal purposes only, like staying awake when I must.)

The worst drug people can buy is alcohol. Various opiates and amphetamine-derived drugs are pretty bad. Marijuana is not as harmful as any of these, but still causes damage.

If you learn to think right, you won’t need any of them.

I am a professional grandfather. My main motivation is to transform society to create a sustainable world in which my grandchildren and their grandchildren in perpetuity can have a life, and a life worth living. I’m a chocoholic too. Never smoked or taken drugs, and have a small drink once or twice a year. A bit of caffeine and theobromine. I have difficulty resisting sugar (one of the worst substances) but I try to limit my intake to that contained in dark chocolate.

    Cheers, Max
