Lessons from a real historian

Stanislaw Aronson can tell you how it really was, because he lived it.

This inspiring man is now 93. He can see the events that launched World War 2 repeating: the merchants of hate taking over.

Please read his beautiful essay in the Guardian.

About Dr Bob Rich

I am a professional grandfather. My main motivation is to transform society to create a sustainable world in which my grandchildren and their grandchildren in perpetuity can have a life, and a life worth living. This means reversing environmental idiocy that's now threatening us with extinction, and replacing culture of greed and conflict with one of compassion and cooperation.

This story reinforces the feelings that I already have. I truly fear for the future; back in those times nuclear weapons had only just made an appearance right at the end, and in this day and age our world is a much smaller place due to technological advances. A war between major nations, eg Russia and the US, or China and the US, or the Middle East and the US, would be catastrophic. And it could happen so easily! Especially with lunatics in charge. Or should I call them extremists, or fundamentalists.

      Lunatics sounds good, Jenny.

It’s not only war but also the persecution and hatred for people who have trivial differences from us: religion, skin colour, nationality, whatever.

We are all cousins from the Rift Valley, a few years ago.
