Striking Back from Down Under

An anthology of 26 short stories where the underdog prevails

Recently revised, and including four new stories, this anthology focuses on justice: apparently powerless victims finding the resources to vanquish the bully. Each story is different: some grimly realistic, others light-hearted, some set in your backyard, others off-planet or in a world of fantasy.

What would you do if you awakened in a lightless cave, without knowing how you got there or why? Imagine that your boss has been murdered, and you are the only logical suspect. How could a decent basketball hero turn into a rapist? See how Mrs Jones and her Takamaka freedom fighters liberated thousands of tortured prisoners, and how Cynthia saved humanity from a space visitor who wanted to give everyone unlimited pleasure.

You can read one of the stories, a brief description of all 26, and a heap of reviews at my web site.
